Lynne Halliday
Lynne Halliday was born and raised in Montreal, but fell in love with New York and the theatre because her fabulous Manhattan-based grandmother, Luba, would take her to a Broadway show every year on her annual birthday visit to the city.
Miss Halliday starred in the York Theate's hit show "Porterphiles"- a revue of unpublished Cole Porter songs. She also appeared as "the Voice" in American Ballet Theatre's world-premiere ballet "Weren't We Fools?", choreographed by Christian Holder.
Lynne's role was as Mimi the French Maid in "Pied-a-Terre", directed by Thommie Walsh, at 88's in the village.
She has appeared in the American premiere of Charles Strouse's "A Whole Lotta Living" (directed by Barbara Siman), and the award-winning "Women@Work" and the off- Broadway hit revival of "The Rothschilds".
A regular performer at Danny's Skylight Cabaret room, Lynne has performed at the 92nd Street Y, the Guggenheim Museum and the Kaplan Penthouse at Lincoln Centre.
